**About the Role**

We are looking for a **Senior Software Engineer – Backend** with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in designing and building scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in **Golang** and hands-on experience with **System Design, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and MySQL**. You will be responsible for designing backend services, solving complex engineering problems, and building systems that can scale with business growth.

## Requirements

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Design, develop, and maintain **scalable and high-performance backend services** using Golang.
-   Own backend components/services end-to-end, from design and development to deployment and production support.
-   Participate in **system design and architecture discussions** and make appropriate technology and design decisions.
-   Design and implement **REST APIs and distributed backend services**.
-   Work with **MongoDB and MySQL** for data modeling, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
-   Build and maintain search and indexing solutions using **Elasticsearch**.
-   Design and implement event-driven architectures using **Kafka**.
-   Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and production issues.
-   Write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code.
-   Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
-   Collaborate with Product, Frontend, Data, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
-   Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving the team's engineering standards.
-   Take ownership of technical problems and drive them to resolution.

**Required Skills**

-   **4–6 years of professional software development experience.**
-   Strong hands-on experience with **Golang**.
-   Strong understanding and hands-on experience with **System Design**.

-   Strong experience with **MongoDB**, including:

-   Data modeling

-   Good understanding of concurrency, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
-   Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
-   Experience working with production systems and troubleshooting complex issues.

**Good to Have**

-   Experience working with **AWS/GCP/Azure**.
-   Experience with **Docker and Kubernetes**.
-   Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
-   Experience with observability tools such as **Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar**.
-   Experience building highly available and fault-tolerant systems.
-   Experience working in a high-scale consumer/product environment.
